Hormone-related symptoms — fatigue, mood changes, irregular cycles, hot flashes, brain fog — are easy to brush off or misattribute to stress. But getting real answers usually means multiple doctor visits, blood draws timed around your cycle, and a long wait for a specialist. Our Women's Health Test measures 11 key biomarkers across your reproductive, adrenal, and thyroid hormones — FSH, LH, estradiol, progesterone, total testosterone, DHEA, cortisol (collected 4 times throughout the day), TSH, free T4, and TPO antibodies — from one at-home kit.1

Below, real Everlywell customers share what it was like to test at home, and how their results helped them get answers — sometimes after their own doctor had run out of ideas.

Frequently asked questions

Who should take the Women's Health Test?

The Women's Health Test may be a good option if you're experiencing symptoms like:

  • Fatigue or sleep issues
  • Irregular periods or changes in your cycle
  • Mood changes, anxiety, or brain fog
  • Hot flashes or other menopause- or perimenopause-related symptoms
  • Low libido or unexplained weight changes
  • Symptoms you suspect are thyroid- or hormone-related, especially if previous bloodwork came back "normal" but symptoms persist

What will my results tell me?

The Women's Health Test measures 11 biomarkers across three hormone systems:1

  • Reproductive hormones: FSH, LH, estradiol, progesterone, and total testosterone
  • Adrenal hormones: DHEA and cortisol, collected via saliva 4 times over the course of a day to capture your natural cortisol rhythm
  • Thyroid markers: TSH, free T4, and TPO antibodies

Because several of these hormones naturally fluctuate throughout your menstrual cycle, your kit includes two blood collection cards timed to specific cycle days for the most accurate picture.

How accurate is the Women's Health Test?

Everlywell's partnered laboratories are considered industry leaders in their respective areas, with extensive histories and have performed millions of tests. All laboratories perform frequent internal quality controls and testing, as well as regular third-party testing for independent validation of the accuracy of their testing. Consistently, such validation shows a high degree (>95–99%) results correlation.

When during my cycle should I collect my sample?

If you have a regular 21–35 day cycle, you'll collect your first blood sample on day 3 (preferred) or day 4 after your period starts, and your second blood and saliva samples about 7 days after ovulation, typically days 19–21 of your cycle.2 Your kit's instructions will walk you through timing based on your own cycle.

How is the cortisol sample collected?

Cortisol is measured through 4 saliva samples collected on the same day, spaced at least 2 hours apart: first thing in the morning (within 30 minutes of waking, before eating or drinking), around noon, before dinner, and before bed.2 This captures how your cortisol naturally rises and falls over the day, since a single measurement can't show that pattern.
