Marylanders can now get at-home lab tests. Here's why that matters.

Everyone in America should have access to convenient, affordable lab testing. I started EverlyWell four years ago with this mission in mind.

Today, we’re six million people closer to reaching our goal.

Thanks to a bipartisan effort, residents of Maryland finally have access to convenient health tests you can take at home, from Baltimore to the Eastern Shore and everywhere in between. Before today, Maryland had one of the most restrictive lab testing laws in the nation: a law that prevented us from telling Marylanders this type of testing even existed.

I was lucky enough to meet with lawmakers on both sides of the aisle to help them understand why having access to home health tests can keep people healthier—especially those without health insurance or reliable access to transportation, who find it difficult to visit the doctor as often as they should.

Thanks to these efforts, SB 495 received unanimous support from the House and the Senate before being signed into law: a historic vote to increase access to healthcare in a state with some of the most expensive healthcare costs in the country.

To those of you in Maryland hearing about us for the first time, let me introduce ourselves:

We’re EverlyWell. We help keep people healthy. And we’re here to stay.
