About this test

Cholesterol travels through the blood in particles, and the number of particles is closely tied to heart risk over time. Total cholesterol, HDL, and triglycerides are the standard set on this menu, each as its own test.

ApoB counts the particles that carry cholesterol into artery walls, and hs-CRP adds low-grade inflammation. Fasting for 9 to 12 hours keeps triglycerides comparable from one draw to the next.

What’s in the box

Circles to fill with a few drops of blood. Let it dry before you pack it.

Single-use and spring-loaded: a quick, shallow prick. The second is a spare.

What it measures

The main cholesterol carrier linked to heart risk.
Triglycerides
Blood fats that move with diet and metabolism.

Reading your result

Your report lists each marker next to the lab’s reference range, with plain-language context for what a value above or below that range can mean. Results are read together: one number outside its range is common, and a clinician weighs it alongside the others and how you feel.
